For many of us living in Saigon, leaving the city for its hinterlands can be an important pilgrimage, best made regularly to achieve spiritual balance. While fresh air and open space are part of the recipe for wellness, some additional intention is often required to fully take advantage of our limited time.

Since boarding an airplane is both time-consuming and stress-inducing, perhaps the first step is to take advantage of the many new expressways that can zip Saigoneers from the city to the coast in just over two hours. One such destination is Ho Tram, home to one of Meliá’s signature properties in Vietnam which recently launched a wellness program that involves every element of the resort.

At Meliá Ho Tram Beach Resort, wellness begins with the environs. Great emphasis and care are lavished on the natural landscaping. From the winding, tree canopy-covered walkways to water features, strolling the grounds is a relaxing and introspective undertaking. This delight is supplemented by the resort’s newly-launched Wellness Pathway, inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku (forest bathing). The path includes eight stops, each designed to foster a specific aspect of self-nourishment. Among them are the Hug Me Tree which invites guests to make a physical connection with nature, helping to lower cortisol levels; a small island that houses a meditation pagoda; and an all-important digital detox where slow-paced activities replace the pings of phone notifications.

While a visit to the hotel will provide some much-needed well-being for all guests, Meliá Ho Tram Beach Resort offers the option to step things up with their Wellness in The Level Villa Experiences.

Upon entering their villa, guests will notice the private meditation area, with a kit consisting of a special meditation cushion and carpet, a bamboo tray with Tibetan singing bowls, a set of stress relieving Shungite and a dedicated meditation oil that scents the room via a diffuser. Beyond these tools for mental health, the villa is also outfitted with a set of yoga and fitness equipment, including mats, blocks, resistance bands, fitness ball and dumbbells.

Relaxation can be elusive without a good night’s sleep so the villa is also fitted out with lavender essential oils, lavender body mist and a glimmering purple Amethyste Stone placed either on the bedside table or under a pillow to aid relaxation and a soft tumble into a dream-filled slumber.

4- and 7-step Wellness Packages layered on top of this villa experience are carefully curated to give guests an all-encompassing reset. They begin with special welcome wellness amenities such as a refreshing Lemon Raspberry Shishito-infused water, a confit orange with green Sansho and a 64% cocoa & Himalayan salt bar.

Great attention to what guests are putting into their bodies continues during each meal. The resort’s chefs have carefully crafted detox set dinners at both of the main restaurants — Breeza Beach Club which serves Mediterranean fare and Muối which specializes in Vietnamese flavors. Both menus give a contextual nod to the Meliá Ho Tram’s placement along the coast with healthy seafood standouts like steamed clams with lemongrass and chili and raw seabass served with poached quail egg, green chili sauce and salmon roe.

While eating healthy is an important step in the Meliá wellness journey, the YHI spa is the epicenter. Here, therapists provide four holistic body relaxation techniques including deep tissue treatment, Swedish body relaxation, Vietnamese body therapy and Thai body therapy, each targeting a specific area of need such as muscle cramps, blood circulation, and increased flexibility.

Beauty may only be skin deep but in addition to feeling one’s best, there’s nothing wrong with looking one’s best too. Beauty treatments at YHI spa include an anti-aging facial care regimen, hydrating skincare session, nail care and hair styling service.

Back in your room, a turn-down wellness ritual gives guests some private time to experience unique and intimate experiences like a sunset bath ritual where fresh flower petals float atop warm water and the air is filled with essential oils.

Mornings are the ideal time to partake in the resort’s wellness activities and start the day off right. Instructors guide guests through sunrise yoga, Tai chi and mindful stretching to help reduce stress, increase flexibility and improve overall physical health. Those who need a little bit of mental respite can opt for a meditation session that clears one’s mind, lowers blood pressure and reduces anxiety, among many other benefits.

Guests are also rewarded for waking up early with a healthy breakfast built around salads, bowls and dips featuring ingredients like seeds, fruits and vegetables, served beside vibrant smoothies.

If Meliá Ho Tram’s ultimate goal for its Wellness Package is to provide an accessible sanctuary for weary city dwellers in search of a regenerative experience, then they have certainly hit the mark.

Tết by the Sea: Celebrate Loved Ones at Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc this Year https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/26757-tết-by-the-sea-celebrate-loved-ones-at-wyndham-grand-phu-quoc-this-year https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/26757-tết-by-the-sea-celebrate-loved-ones-at-wyndham-grand-phu-quoc-this-year

In Vietnam, once a year, offices close and schools empty so everyone can savor the most important holiday. For many, Tết is the only opportunity to untether from the toil of their busy lives and create memories to look back on in fondness years later. For generations, one’s hometown has been the obvious and often only choice. But in recent years, a variety of economic opportunities and the changing world have introduced the concept of traveling on the Lunar New Year.

There are few better places to create such experiences than sitting beside a pristine beach or in the shade of flowering trees on Phú Quốc, Vietnam’s most famous island. While the expansive tropical island boasts a lush interior surrounded by coast and a collection of resort options to match, Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc, located along Bãi Dài beach has been meticulously designed specifically to cater to families and couples.

Not only does Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc boast alluring qualities like its 550m2 long beach where guests can enjoy a diverse range of water sports, a large 1,500m2 pool, wellness activities, spa and Kid’s Club, but it also features a diverse culinary repertoire with seven restaurants and bars offering everything from western fare and Chinese specialties to traditional Vietnamese cuisine.

Such an escape from the mundane exhaustion of the human condition would be welcome any time of year, but Tết makes it a particularly appropriate time to indulge in the blessings of life. To properly honor the occasion, Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc is putting particular emphasis on Vietnamese traditions with their special “Spring of Love” program, which aims to give family members of all ages an unforgettable holiday experience. From February 10 - 13, the resort will hold a spring festival that will give guests an opportunity to participate in traditional Vietnamese folk games. The joyous activity will whisk older visitors back to halcyon childhoods while introducing children to important cultural touchstones.

The games and general revelry are sure to build up guests’ appetites and the resort has planned a number of culinary options that are representative of both the Tết holiday and the local area. The “Spring of Love” kicks off with a “Tet Flavors” set menu (available from 9/2 - 13/2) which highlights traditional Tết dishes from across Vietnam. The blend of regional specialties includes items one would find in fine dining restaurants as well as favorites made in a loved one’s kitchen.

The Tết meals are joined by a special BBQ seafood buffet dinner (available from 10/2 - 13/2) that embraces the island's bountiful seafood. Fish, crustaceans, shellfish and all sorts of aquatic critters can be sampled soon after being pulled from the generous ocean. Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc will also tap into the region’s culinary prowess with its “Asian Tet” buffet dinner that features a tapestry of traditional cuisine from Korea, China, and Japan (available from 11/2 - 12/2). As Valentine's Day overlaps with Tết this year, Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc has also devised some ways to spark the romantic flame via a wishing tree where guests can mark their “Wishes of Love” and savor a romantic “Sweet Valentine" dinner at VND1,500,000.

No matter your age or nationality, Wyndham Grand Phu Quoc’s holiday programs have something for everyone. While it may not resemble the traditional Tết settings of years past, it provides an ideal environment to relax, unwind and appreciate those most important in your life, and isn’t that what the holiday is all about?

Family Vacation Takes on New Meaning with Tết Traditions at Sheraton Grand Danang Resort & Convention Center https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/26716-family-vacation-takes-on-new-meaning-with-tết-traditions-at-sheraton-grand-danang-resort-convention-center https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/26716-family-vacation-takes-on-new-meaning-with-tết-traditions-at-sheraton-grand-danang-resort-convention-center

Families may spend many hours in close proximity, but between work, school and other activities, it’s difficult to attain real quality time and be truly present in the moment. For many in Vietnam, Tết is one of few, if not only times of the year where we can slow our pace and create memories that will be easy to recall years later and stand out from the blur of “normal life.” And while we can enjoy these moments anywhere, there are few places better than along the ocean.

Sheraton Grand Danang is one such oasis, located along Vietnam’s central coast and nestled at the confluence of Vietnamese character, equidistant between historic Hội An and modern Đà Nẵng.

While making sandcastles on the beach or splashing around in the 250m infinity pool, the city’s largest, are favorite familial pastimes, Sheraton Grand Danang’s team has crafted an extensive program of traditional Tết activities.

From the first (February 10) through the third day (February 13) of the Lunar New Year, younger guests can enjoy traditional Vietnamese arts and crafts activities. Conical hat painting and bracelet and lantern making will keep children entertained and tap into their creative whims. It’s an opportunity for young ones and their parents alike to maybe even make some new friends along the way. Each day will also provide guests with deeper insights into Tết traditions like cây nêu, a New Year tree in Vietnamese culture, made from a bamboo stalk, which has the effect of protecting and bringing peace to one's family.

The resort has also planned a diverse set of activities specifically related to each of the three days of Tết. Highlights of the program include a lion dance, walks on the monkey bridge, bamboo dancing, sack racing, ball/ring throwing, pottery breaking and stilt walking.

These varied and inclusive activities are sure to work up an appetite and Sheraton Grand Danang’s chefs have designed a number of Tết-themed menus – from a special Tết vegetarian set at Table 88 to Asian Gastronomy set menus at La Plage. The resort’s fine dining eatery, The Grill, offers fresh local seafood, prime steaks and an extensive wine list throughout the year.

While there’s plenty do experience on the property, families would be remiss not to take advantage of its proximity to Đà Nẵng. Lighthouses and banyan trees dot the city’s environs, and Bàn Cờ peak offers stunning views of Sơn Trà Peninsula’s beaches and immaculate sunsets.

Arts and culture highlights in the area include the Đồng Đình Museum which features a variety of artifacts from the area’s 20th-century fishing lifestyles, as well as cultural objects from ethnic minorities in the region. The city’s Fine Art Museum meanwhile houses hundreds of paintings, sculptures and carvings reflective of the region’s creative interpretations of history and local culture along with rotating special exhibits and collections on loan.

Works on display at the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum.

And of course, no visit to the area would be complete without a visit to one of Vietnam's most popular heritage destinations, the ancient trading center where merchants from all over the globe once congregated. In recent years, the town has been transformed into a vibrant UNESCO World Heritage site with traditional architecture; romantic, lantern-lit streets; shopping and some of the best food the country has to offer.

With everything from salt-kissed ocean breezes to a cornucopia of Tết activities, culinary offerings and access to Đà Nẵng and Hội An's rich cultural and natural landscapes, Sheraton Grand Danang provides families the ideal atmosphere to relax and add special moments to their scrapbook.

Don’t miss out on the hotel’s special offers during the holiday. Sheraton Grand Danang’s Family Reunion Delight package, valid for stays booked between February 09 - February 18, 2024 includes a daily buffet breakfast, lunar New Year buffet on 09 February 2024 (complimentary 4-course set menu for lunch or dinner on other days), a 20% discount on Food & Beverage spending, 30% discount on Spa (not applicable for packages or promotion) and early check-in from 12:00 PM. Late check-out until 03:00 PM (subject to availability).

Embracing 'Quận Vui': The Grand Ho Tram's Journey Into a New Era of Joyful Living https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/26687-embracing-quận-vui-the-grand-ho-tram-s-journey-into-a-new-era-of-joyful-living https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/26687-embracing-quận-vui-the-grand-ho-tram-s-journey-into-a-new-era-of-joyful-living

A subtle yet exciting transformation is underway at The Grand Ho Tram with Quận Vui — a district where dynamism, freedom, and unbridled fun converge to redefine guests’ understanding of leisure.

The emblematic crane, a graceful bird routinely amongst the rice paddies en route to the hotel complex, symbolizes carefree living and has thus become central to The Grand Ho Tram’s new identity. Beyond a standard rebranding effort, Quận Vui is a strategic leap that invites guests into a realm where joy isn't just a fleeting experience but a constant companion.

Beyond the glossy surface, The Grand Ho Tram has elevated its legacy through the pandemic's challenging landscape. Amid global disruptions, the integrated complex, which is comprised of properties from three different hotel groups – the newly-opened Fusion, Intercontinental and Holiday Inn – not only navigated the storm but actively engaged in the community's well-being, emerging as a symbol of resilience in trying times.

While shaking off pandemic cobwebs, The Grand Ho Tram is unveiling new services and events, reshaping itself as a nucleus for unique experiences. Paired with The Bluffs, an eminent golf course, the complex draws on its supremacy in entertainment and F&B, and stands as a sanctuary for authentic, unforgettable experiences, less than three hours from Saigon.

Quận Vui transcends mere branding — it encapsulates a lifestyle. Here, authenticity and diverse forms of enjoyment are celebrated, and genuine connections flourish in a vibrant environment. The carefully curated color palette mirrors the complex's dynamic spirit, laying the foundation for an exceptional guest experience.

In early December, Walt Power, CEO of The Grand Ho Tram told reporters “We're embarking on an exciting journey with Quận Vui. Our commitment to Quận Vui is not just about a brand; it's a pledge to renew and grow. Quận Vui is where the excitement begins, a place where our guests will find endless joy, reflecting our vision for The Grand Ho Tram."

The three guiding principles of Quận Vui — Fun & Freedom, Responsible & Caring, and Always Bringing New Experiences — underscore The Grand Ho Tram's genuine dedication to providing rejuvenating experiences, environmental responsibility, and a commitment to continuous innovation.

An anchor for this transformative journey is VUI Fest, a series of events that break away from the conventional. From exhilarating horse race performances to colorful kite flying and pulsating DJ pool parties, each event is a thoughtful invitation, injecting vibrancy into Quận Vui and creating beautiful, spontaneous moments. For those looking to get in on the fun, now is an ideal time for a visit as from December 1 to 25th, The Grand Ho Tram will host daily lucky draw gift-giving events for guests.

The unveiling of Quận Vui is a pivotal moment for The Grand Ho Tram. It represents a promise for an environment where joy endures alongside leisure, and freedom isn't just a concept but an embraced way of life.

Celebrate the Festive Season in the Tropics at La Veranda Phú Quốc – MGallery https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/26587-phú-quốc-aims-to-cure-guests-of-the-winter-blues https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/26587-phú-quốc-aims-to-cure-guests-of-the-winter-blues

While half of the world is starting to bundle up against the backdrop of falling leaves and even-faster falling temperatures, La Veranda Phú Quốc - MGallery is gearing up for another balmy, tropical festive season.

Set along a postcard-pretty white sand beach on Vietnam’s tropical Phú Quốc island, La Veranda’s 1920s French colonial-style mansion is not a typical beach destination. While many resorts in the region claim to feature a vintage Indochina style, La Veranda’s backstory is rooted in an authenticity that extends far beyond mere design inspiration.

Conceived as a residence for founder Madame Catherine whose family hails from China, Cambodia, Vietnam and France, La Veranda’s main house feels more like a close friend’s comfortably chic home. Lovingly decorated with hand-picked antiques and period collectibles, it showcases the glamour of Indochina from her childhood. Every corner of the sprawling resort exudes distinction, from classic four-poster beds and delicate ceramic tiles that adorn the guest rooms to grand wooden spiral staircases and rich lacquer artwork that lend an understated elegance to the resort’s public spaces. However, instead of feeling like an overly-curated museum, La Veranda’s warm spaces are for living and thus entice guests to make themselves at home with a holiday read or refreshing drink.

Wraparound verandas cooled by vintage ceiling fans are the ideal place to sip late-afternoon cocktails while watching Phú Quốc’s legendary sunsets that light up the dusk skies with bright oranges and deep purples. The gorgeously landscaped gardens feature indigenous plants and fragrant tropical flowers that invite long, leisurely strolls, enveloped by bright blooming colors against a lush green background.

The art of living well is a touchstone at La Veranda. Two restaurants serve European and Vietnamese fare featuring imported meats, cheeses and spices as well as the freshest, locally sourced seafood and produce. At the award-winning TĨNH Wellness Sanctuary, guests are guided back to their natural state of well-being through immersive treatments as well as transformative wellness journeys lasting anywhere from 1-7 days.

In 2023 alone, La Veranda’s unique blend of timeless sophistication and world-class services and amenities garnered the resort an enviable number of awards including No.1 Best Hotel Spa (Travel + Leisure Luxury Award Asia Pacific), Asia’s Leading Boutique Resort (World Travel Award) and Best Oceanview Spa (Haute Grandeur Award)

La Veranda invites visitors to savor the spirit of the holidays with an enticing range of packages including the Festive Stay offer. From December 1-30, guests can enjoy a Deluxe Garden Room for two inclusive of a scrumptious buffet breakfast, round-trip airport transfers and complimentary activities including morning yoga classes, Vietnamese massage workshop, afternoon tea and an evening wine reception for just US$270++ per night. Additional festive events include complimentary cocktails at the Xmas tree lighting, holiday cookie decorating workshops, gourmet 5-course dinners prepared by celebrity chefs, and much more.

In addition to the Festive Stay offer, La Veranda is celebrating this holiday season in grand style with impressive  Christmas and New Year's Eve events. The spectacular Christmas Eve Gala features a beachside buffet of classic French and European festive dishes from 5:30pm until 11:30pm. Welcome wine reception, live band, and gifts for the kids from Santa are all included from US$185++ per person. Meanwhile, the retro-chic New Year’s Eve Countdown Party that transports guests to Hollywood's Golden Age includes two hours of free-flow drinks and an antipasto platter along with live music. Ring in the new year in style for just US$65++ per person from 10:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Open to both hotel guests and non-guests.

When considering how to celebrate the festive holiday season this year, La Veranda makes a great case for itself. The exquisite gourmet dining, soothing spa treatments and exceptional stays in comfortable rooms and suites will certainly make for unforgettable winter vacations.

Regent is Making its Mark on Phu Quoc’s Culinary Scene https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/26625-regent-is-making-its-mark-on-phu-quoc’s-culinary-scene https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/26625-regent-is-making-its-mark-on-phu-quoc’s-culinary-scene

Since opening in 2022, Regent Phu Quoc has earned a reputation as one of the island’s most luxurious resorts because of its pristine beach, verdant landscaping and world-class amenities. When it was conceptualized, the resort’s F&B outlets were positioned at the forefront and have become a main draw.

At the epicenter of Regent’s culinary prowess is Rice Market, an all-day dining option specializing in Vietnamese cuisine made via traditional cooking techniques and with the freshest, high-quality ingredients available. During lunch and dinner, standbys like bún bò Huế are listed on the menu along more unique offerings such as chargrilled Phu Quoc mountain chicken bánh mì, phở vịt quay (duck phở) and cá chim trắng nướng lá chuối (grilled silver pomfret fish with banana leaves).

Rice Market also serves the Regent’s breakfast that will meet the standards of any diner, no matter their nationality or age. The buffet features Vietnamese favorites as well as Korean stews, rice dishes and soups and Western cheeses, breads, meats and salads. These are supplemented by dozens of a la carte options that span borders.

Since Regent often welcomes families, they were mindful of the preferences of their smallest guests by providing a kid's dining area where even the pickiest eaters are sure to find something that pleases their pint-sized pallets.

As versatile as Rice Market is, the resort’s culinary crown jewel is Oku. The intimate, art deco restaurant specializes in contemporary Japanese-French cuisine. Guests can enjoy the best cuts of fish on the island or revel in the delights of house-aged beef while seated around an omakase counter. After honing his skills at Nobu in San Diego, Chef de Cuisine Andy Huynh, puts his own unique twists on the menu while staying true to the traditional spirit of the dishes.

While Oku provides a fine dining culinary experience that rivals those found in Vietnam’s largest cities, Regent’s Ocean Club probably is the most contextually relevant. Located along the sea, its Mediterranean menu features burgers, pizzas and pastas. But for many the real draw will be the seafood which makes the most of the island’s bounty.

Regent Phu Quoc strives to constantly innovate and invites top chefs from across the region to join its brigade for special events. During one such culinary occasion at Ocean Club, highly acclaimed Chef de Cuisine Matteo Ponti from Braci, a renowned Michelin-starred Italian restaurant joined Regent’s own Chef de Cuisine, Daniel Huynh for a four-hands dinner.

The seven-course menu highlighted local ingredients and the international techniques both chefs have dedicated their illustrious careers. The evening’s ethos was exemplified by the pappardelle with 32 egg yolk pasta and caviar, inspired by one of the most popular dishes from Chef Ponti’s menu at Braci but elevated with Phú Quốc fish sauce. But perhaps the highlight of the meal was the special bottle of 100-year-old “braci reserva” balsamic vinegar served at dessert. Rather than being added to the sweet concoctions to close out the meal, it was served with the type of respect anything maturing for a century should enjoy – by itself on a spoon.

Regent has taken great pains to ensure that guests don’t feel like F&B was an afterthought. This focus on creating authentic dining experiences makes the resort an ideal balance between an island getaway and a sophisticated culinary hot spot.

How An Lam Retreats Saigon River is Revolutionizing Wellness https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/26485-how-an-lam-retreats-saigon-river-is-revolutionizing-wellness https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/26485-how-an-lam-retreats-saigon-river-is-revolutionizing-wellness

Though wellness continues to be a common refrain offered by resorts in Vietnam and around the world, it’s often used to describe services like spas, steam rooms and saunas at far-flung resorts. A 25-minute speedboat ride from downtown Saigon or 20 minutes from District 2 rests An Lam Retreats Saigon River, a verdant oasis where wellness isn’t a buzzword but a core principle that is woven throughout every corner of the property.

Whether or not one visits the retreat with the specific intention of focusing on wellness, each guest will nonetheless be enveloped in the lush, jungle-like landscape. The air is dewy and fresh, with the flora providing a constant flow of fresh oxygen. It provides a striking juxtaposition to the stresses and pollution of city life.

This inherent tranquillity and mindfulness are elevated by An Lam Retreat’s investment in its wellness staff and programs that balance both passive and active experiences. Overseen by Praveen Subramanian, a Spa and Wellness specialist, and with the support of F&B Manager Dhruv Verma, guest experiences can be tailored to each visitor’s individual needs.

Wellness also extends to the retreat’s dining experiences. It all begins with ingredients that are not only healthy but sourced as locally as possible. This means that the property’s sizeable organic garden, just a few steps from the kitchen, is combed daily for ripe herbs and vegetables. Walking through the garden, one can form a deeper connection with the nutrients they will put into their body and gain a better understanding of each ingredient’s significance for their health.

The retreat’s Jungle Spa places particular emphasis on regenerative opportunities such as spa treatments. Beyond normal questions such as asking which parts of one’s body are in need of attention, the experienced staff thoughtfully develops a detailed personal profile of each guest to understand their mind state and stress level so that they can determine the appropriate treatments. The spa itself is secluded in the most verdant part of the retreat, facilitating near-total immersion in nature for guests.

Jungle Spa offers a number of services, including body care, speciality treatments focussing on holistic relaxation and inner healing; natural facial treatments and couple retreats, with a few particular highlights. An Lam Signature Treatment (massage) starts with guests selecting from a number of different aromas which will be used in the massage process, including jasmine, lemongrass, plumeria and lavender. The signature oil massage is inspired by traditional Vietnamese practices and combines different massage techniques, such as pressure point, palm pressure, and sweeping movements that help one’s body and mind regain harmony. Each guest visiting the spa will be welcomed by the sounds of Praveen’s soothing singing bowls, rebalancing one’s connection with the earth. These are all part of the Jungle Spa's larger spa journey which starts from booking one's stay so that the staff can individually tailor the guest's wellness experience to check-out when they receive thoughtful quotes and tips that will resonate even after departure.

For those leading frenzied urban lifestyles, a massage is an important component to a comprehensive wellness experience. But to maximize its effects, one must also put in some mental intention. Even those who aren’t actively stressed can still greatly benefit from internal reflection.

To this end, Praveen leads a sunset meditation and mindfulness meditation upon request. His singing bowl reappears but this time with two smaller companions that serve as the experience’s centerpiece. Guided by breathing exercises and clear, calming instruction, one can release their stresses, calm their mind and take in the fresh air. The silence is only interrupted by the sounds of birds or humming boats plying the calm river.

Yoga is also an important element of the retreat's wellness program. Offered as both open and private sessions for guests, Praveen holds them in different corners across the property and ensures that each routine matches the experience level of participants.

An Lam Retreats Saigon River is also among Vietnam’s pioneers for sleep enhancements. For many, sleep can often be fleeting and deeply affected by one’s internal balance. Praveen and his team have been developing a new wellness program that takes the best of the retreat's wellness offerings and combines them to create a unique and powerful experience.

The meticulously crafted sleep journey involves 13 carefully curated treatments – soothing eye treatments, invigorating head massages, yoga and focused breath exercises, among others. Each element of the program synergizes with the others to create a holistic experience that not only provides immediate relaxation but fosters enduring sleep improvement. At the core of this journey is a sleep nutrition consultation that takes into account one’s unique health profile. From this, the team identifies areas for potential improvement and thus ensures that the benefits of the program extend well beyond the spa, empowering guests to make lasting changes for improved sleep.

The concept of wellness is also weaved through An Lam Retreats Saigon River’s dining menus. Fruits, vegetables, duck, and chicken come from farms near the retreat, while seafood from Nha Trang is delivered regularly. Each supplier is deeply vetted by the retreat’s kitchen staff to ensure that the freshest and highest quality ingredients make their way to guests’ plates.

From these ingredients, Dhruv and the retreat’s chefs structure a diverse menu and can even create a meal plan based on the specific requirements of guests who have particular dietary needs. But one doesn’t need to put in a specific request to eat healthily as the kitchen uses organic ingredients for all guests, employs cooking techniques that use less oil and even relies on special ceramics known for their nutritional cooking qualities.

An Lam Retreats Saigon River’s commitment to wellness involves more than just one’s personal journey and also includes environmental sustainability efforts. The bar repurposes leftover ingredients to make a variety of juices, especially the signature pineapple tea, which showcases the retreat’s dedication to minimizing waste. Even coffee grounds find new life as a detoxifying skin scrub.

More than a luxurious family getaway, An Lam Retreats Saigon River is a place for profound wellness. From carefully crafted treatments and activities to mindful culinary practices and sustainability efforts, the retreat creates an unforgettable experience that impacts physical and mental health long after guests depart.

An Lam Retreats Saigon River: An Oasis for Families to Reconnect and Recharge https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/26458-an-lam-retreats-saigon-river-an-oasis-for-families-to-reconnect-and-recharge https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/26458-an-lam-retreats-saigon-river-an-oasis-for-families-to-reconnect-and-recharge

For professionals with families, living in Saigon poses a number of challenges, especially a lack of public spaces and fresh air. For many parents, a trip to a verdant cafe or kids club is the most practical way to provide a bit of recreation for their children as forests and beaches often require hours of travel. There is, however, something of an oasis only 25 minutes from District 1 or 15 minutes from District 2.

Just up the river lies An Lam Retreats Saigon River, an intimate, lush retreat. Beyond offering sophisticated and beautifully designed accommodations, the property seeks to create experiences for its guests via a holistic journey that spans all of a stay’s elements and opportunities to pursue well-being, mindfulness and regeneration.

Upon arrival by speedboat (or by car should one prefer), guests will see their children’s eyes open wide to take in the lush landscape comprised of huge trees, beds of flowers, koi ponds and wooden planks.

While parents will quickly be drawn to the perfectly manicured landscaping, younger guests will likely see themselves as characters in a jungle adventure. At An Lam Retreats Saigon River, children aren’t dropped off at a kids' club or relegated to time staring at screens as the retreat has put much thought into creating meaningful experiences for parents and young ones.

From the moment the door to one of the retreat's spacious villas or suites swings open, families will instantly find an inviting corner to read, draw, talk or play. Particular attention is paid to the property’s smallest guests via colorful baby cots outfitted with stuffed animals upon request. Though there are a number of different suite configurations to choose from, the river-facing 2-bedroom villa with private pools is perfectly tailored for families. It even presents a unique opportunity to savor a floating breakfast. Though trendy parents will see that as a perfect time to grab some pictures, children will ponder the thrilling possibility of eating a meal in a pool. The large tray of assorted dishes will appeal to even the most picky eaters and can be enjoyed half-submerged or on poolside tables.

Such structured activities are balanced by relaxing moments poolside, either at one’s villa or the main pool. Children can enjoy the companionship of colorful floats while parents can take the time to indulge in some afternoon cocktails and cool off in the shaded waters.

An Lam Retreats Saigon River’s open space and fresh air ignite young imaginations. Families are even encouraged to feed the koi fish in the ponds with the support of attentive staff. During the evening, families are invited to take in an outdoor screening of kid-friendly movies, complete with comfy pillows and freshly made popcorn.

However, the retreat’s most interactive family experiences are related to food, highlighted by cooking classes. Kids will see farm-to-table cooking in real-time and get their hands a bit dirty in the retreat’s organic garden. Against a verdant backdrop, the natural patch is the source of many ingredients used in the retreat’s kitchen. During each class, the chef explains which vegetables and herbs are grown and their role in the dishes they’ll soon be preparing.

After being crowned with a chef’s hat, guests will see their ingredients laid out in the specially-designed outdoor kitchen, ready to be pressed into service to create “cá kho tộ” and “bánh xèo”. The retreat’s chef gives clear step-by-step instructions in English or Vietnamese that are easy to follow, and children can take on the roles of helpers by selecting ingredients and assisting in different parts of the cooking process. In a separate, less ambitious cooking activity, families can bake cookies together, from kneading the dough to placing them in the oven. Each of these cooking opportunities helps to provide kids with a bit of knowledge about nature, foster creativity and, if you’re lucky instill a bit of patience to boot.

Families likely won’t want to prepare all the meals they’ll eat during their visit to An Lam Retreats Saigon River from scratch, so most will be eaten at the Sen restaurant where breakfast and all-day dining are available. Its fusion-style menu is expertly designed by both the kitchen and wellness staff so that meals are balanced with a focus on healthy cooking and sustainability. Dishes are prepared with small amounts of oil while extra food items, such as the skin of pineapple, are repurposed for teas. Guests should be sure to grab a table along the water to take in the slow-paced flow of boats as they ply the Saigon River. Beyond entertainment, this will ensure that families will adjust to a slower pace of life than they’re likely accustomed to.

Many parents will want to spend some time at Jungle Spa to rest, rejuvenate and find themselves reinvigorated for their return to real life. Its signature oil massage is inspired by traditional Vietnamese practices and combines different massage techniques, such as pressure point, palm pressure, and sweeping movements that help a body and mind regain harmony. Children need not be excluded as the spa can also pamper children as well with hair washes, and manicure/pedicure options for those over the age of 5.

Wellness is a buzzword thrown around, sometimes haphazardly in the hospitality industry. But for children and parents with busy work and school schedules, quality time together can be the ultimate means to achieve improved physical and emotional states. With its amenities and conscious efforts to promote a balanced experience, An Lam Retreats Saigon River is an ideal destination for families looking to regenerate and hit the reset button on their sometimes frenetic lives.

What Leadership Means to Walter Power, Grand Ho Tram’s CEO https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/26246-what-leadership-means-to-walter-power,-grand-ho-tram’s-ceo https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/26246-what-leadership-means-to-walter-power,-grand-ho-tram’s-ceo

While Vietnam has resorts of every kind, one particular property’s dizzying array of offerings and guest profiles may make you wonder: “How does this all work?” The Grand Ho Tram works in large part due to the leadership of its CEO, Walter Power.

When he joined the resort three years ago, he brought with him decades of experience at casino-driven properties, particularly in Macau. Though obviously a team effort, Power says that like with any business, success all starts at the top with the brand’s vision. Its first and foremost objective is to provide a top-flight guest experience. This is a challenge with even one customer profile but the Grand Ho Tram attracts numerous segments - families, golfers, friends, casino guests, and couples, to name a few. The property’s two towers (one is InterContinental branded and the other is Holiday Inn Resort) feature more than 15 restaurants and bars, eight outdoor pools, a beach, two award-winning spas, golf course, movie theatre, bowling alley and arcade, amongst other sources of entertainment.

The plethora of choices, and the sheer scale of the property makes one think of Las Vegas. Such an association is intentional as Power and his team have been leaning further in this direction as of late. Though the resort has always had strong F&B and entertainment opportunities, it’s emphasizing events - from MMA and boxing bouts with international competitors to national chess tournaments with the belief that these will attract guests that might not otherwise stay at the property.

Events at The Grand Ho Tram span from competitive to cultural with some unexpected presentations. On April 13, The Bluffs Grand Ho Tram Strip hosted Valenciani's summer fashion show by Adrian Anh Tuan, the first such event hosted at the Greg Norman-designed golf course. It was another example of how the team strives to innovate via unique experiences.

But beyond high-profile and flamboyant events, the chess tournaments are of particular interest to Power. Not only is he an avid player who sees chess events as great forums for competition that raises the overall level of chess standards in Vietnam, but also views the activity as an important way to increase the country’s grey matter capital with “tremendous potential for social benefit.”

The Grand Ho Tram has been a driver of development in the area and works closely with the local government and community groups to help give back to its immediate surroundings. The resort helps fund local orphanages, schools and natural resource conservation efforts dedicated to areas such as the nearby wetlands. The property is also in the process of dropping its broad, regal logo in favor of a local crane species. This aligns with one of Power’s personal beliefs that was instilled in him as a child: “be a good citizen.” In his view, constant extraction is not only unsustainable but individuals and businesses have an innate responsibility to take active and passive actions to improve the people and environment around them.

One way that Power’s belief manifests itself at the property level is via close attention to the staff and their professional development. He says that The Grand’s very high staff retention rate reveals that staff are not only paid competitively, but more importantly have clearly defined purposes and opportunities for career development. The Grand strives to be an employer of choice.

Experience may be one of the key assets a CEO can bring to the table but the decision-making process demands more than gut reactions as developed via past knowledge. Power told Saigoneer that at its core, there’s no replacement for deep analysis and decisive actions. Perhaps the CEO is also influenced by his previous profession as a US Marine Corps helicopter pilot, as well as his current passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which trained him to “stay comfortable in uncomfortable positions.”

At the end of the day, Power says he’s highly aware that the success of The Grand Ho Tram is a sum of its parts and the people who make the place run should be given much of the credit. For him, a holistic approach to hospitality, underpinned by respect for one another and making confident choices are crucial for creating the optimal guest experience.

Recharge and Reconnect: A Family Getaway at The Grand Ho Tram https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/26181-recharge-and-reconnect-a-family-getaway-at-the-grand-ho-tram https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/26181-recharge-and-reconnect-a-family-getaway-at-the-grand-ho-tram

Even short flights require hours in Grabs and security screenings, often with unforeseen delays. For those with families, these are particularly straining travel requirements that often have the opposite effect of finding a relaxing reprieve from the city. One of the easiest ways to make your getaway free of these hassles is a relatively quick bus ride to Ho Tram, located about 2 hours from Saigon.

There are plenty of places to explore in the area, from a bizarre hybrid petting zoo/amusement park to local beaches and all the fresh seafood one can imagine. But even for adventurous families happy to jump on a motorbike or book a private van to explore these areas, parents and children alike are likely to find special moments in a more cultivated environment found at The Grand Ho Tram.

Many resorts purport to be family-friendly but The Grand Ho Tram takes this claim to a level few others can claim in Vietnam, starting with the accommodation. The Grand Ho Tram features two towers - Holiday Inn Resort Ho Tram Beach and InterContinental Grand Ho Tram, both of which are suitable for families. The former is a standout for kids thanks to the Family Suites that boast not only a king-sized bed for parents, but also a special, separate room outfitted with bunk beds and playful designs. Once the door to the kid’s room closes, children can let their imaginations run wild while a porthole window allows parents to peer into the room from time-to-time. Though you may have a hard time prying them out of this room, the myriad of entertainment options at the resort beckon.

Given that The Grand Ho Tram is located along a pristine beach and is home to 8 pools, water will likely be a prominent feature on such trips. Pastimes like building sand castles and hunting for shells and rocks have long been iconic connection-building activities in the morning or evening when the sun is at its kindest.

During the afternoon, parents can take a reprieve in the shaded areas around the pools while children let their imaginations run wild in the adjacent shallow lagoons, some of which feature elaborate waterslides, playgrounds, fountains and inflatable animals. This allows families to have fun as a group and also offers opportunities for forging new friendships with kids of similar ages and interests.

Eventually, kids must be extracted from the watery habitats, less they grow fins and the indoor Kids Quarter is attended by professionals who will watch over your children while they do arts and crafts, scale climbing walls and read books. And while you will have likely taken this trip to make family memories, perhaps the Kids Quarter allows for a convenient window for a little bit of parental pampering at the hotel’s spa.

Either way, the entire family will have plenty of time to take advantage of the other entertainment facilities, depending on the age of the children. The offerings are highlighted by a neon-lit bowling alley, quaint movie theatre, miniature golf course and Game Zone. Whatever the activity, your clan is likely to work up an appetite and there’s no better place to satisfy that than by traversing The Grand Ho Tram’s 15 F&B outlets.

All Day dining at Lemongrass or Ginger are ideal options given children’s finicky eating habits as they serve a wide variety of western standbys and Vietnamese regional specialties, all of which can either be enjoyed indoors or on the breezy patio. These can be enjoyed during the prolific morning breakfasts or as a la carte options any time of the day. For families with more experiential taste buds, fresh seafood at Khoi BBQ, Cantonese icons at Ju Bao Xuan or fine dining at The Grand Bistro await. And if you’re looking for some local dining options, hải sản eateries near the resort are a feast for the eyes and stomach.

Any time spent traveling with family is special. Work and life hustle can force us to sacrifice familial bonding but the experiences we have outside of the daily grind are the ones that make life worth living. The best of these often occur outside of our routine environments. A trip to Ho Tram is one such opportunity to create moments worthy to be framed and hung on your wall for decades.

L’Alya Ninh Van Bay Invites Guests to See Another Side of Nha Trang https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/26089-l’alya-ninh-van-bay-invites-guests-to-see-another-side-of-nha-trang https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/26089-l’alya-ninh-van-bay-invites-guests-to-see-another-side-of-nha-trang

Would you believe us if we told you that there are serene beach destinations not far from the center of Nha Trang?

Upon hearing the name of the city, many people picture drastic overdevelopment that leaves them longing for the bygone days when it was a quaint coastal town attracting hip visitors sporting the coolest trends of past eras.

While two decades of ceaseless construction has indeed transformed the city, the environment across Ninh Vân Bay remains relatively untouched and provides an intimate glimpse into the region’s natural splendors.

A 15-minute speed boat ride across the bay’s calm, turquoise water brings guests to white sand beaches that seamlessly transition into untrammeled jungles scrambling up the mountains. While taking advantage of the tropical environment that led Nha Trang to once be praised as amongst the world’s best beach destinations and led to the boom in accommodations in Nha Trang, L’Alya Ninh Van Bay’s mindful development makes it an oasis for relaxing vacations.

L’Alya consists exclusively of private villas that prioritize privacy and discretion over maximizing occupancy. In addition to views of the beach, ocean and/or lagoon, each free-standing structure has its own swimming pool and dedicated butler service which allows guests to feel as if they have the entire peninsula to themselves. The bold Vietnamese design and architecture reliant on rich wood and sleek stone conjure feelings of idyllic escapes to not only a remote destination but a removed sense of time itself.

Lush tropical vegetation covers the mountains that rise in the backdrop and provide a startling contrast to the white sand stretching beside the shimmering water. Many are content to stare at this postcard-worthy scene from the luxurious comforts of their room, but L’Alya also allows guests to venture into nature and explore the diversity of plants and animals found there. Bird calls titter above the trees punctuated by colorful flowers while the occasional chipmunk darts across the pathways that stretch across streams. Taking the resort’s Jungle Rock Trail or Mountain Trail leads guests to expansive views of the entire area's stunning region that contains complex mangrove forests where roots interlock like intricate puzzle pieces and clouds tesselate in the clear air above rugged islands.

Hiking is not the only activity that entices guests to leave their rooms at L’Alya, however. Kayaks are an ideal way to slowly explore the peaceful coastline and diverse ecosystems while getting some exercise. Similarly, yoga, taichi and spa treatments that can be enjoyed on the beach help rejuvenate one’s body and mind while the lulling sound of waves loops in the background. Movies are regularly screened on the beach and guests can also use rustic bamboo fishing tackles to catch meals the kitchen can prepare or create herbal bags with local ingredients under the guidance of staff therapists.

In addition to these regular activities, during special holidays, L’Alya offers unique means to celebrate the occasion. For example, the recent Tết festival involved lion dance performances and bánh chưng making.

L’Alya’s serene environment and indulgent services lead people to want to treat their bodies well. Thankfully, the resort’s food options include healthy, organic meals. The resort’s garden allows for farm-to-table dining that takes advantage of the abundant fresh seafood in the area. Moreover, romance abounds at the private dining experiences held at various intimate locations.

Guests typically visit L’Alya Ninh Van Bay for two nights to fully enjoy the atmosphere, activities and food. The brief getaways are made possible because of the resort’s accessibility. A mere 50 to 60-minute drive from Nha Trang’s convenient airport, residents of Saigon and other metropolis are amazed by how quickly they can find themselves surrounded by peaceful isolation that puts them in closer contact with sustainable nature and relaxed mindstates.

Many people may wonder what it would have been like had Nha Trang gone in a more responsible development direction that preserved the coast’s natural beauty. Thankfully, they don’t have to merely imagine such a scenario if they travel to L’Alya Ninh Van Bay. Its many pleasures comfort travels with the knowledge that even near one of Vietnam’s most trafficked tourist destinations, a sense of private commune with the world is achievable.

Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort Re-Creates the Comforts of Home for Tết Travelers https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/26052-premier-village-phu-quoc-resort-re-creates-the-comforts-of-home-for-tết-travelers https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/26052-premier-village-phu-quoc-resort-re-creates-the-comforts-of-home-for-tết-travelers

Traditionally, people have been cautioned about traveling to Vietnam during the Tết holiday as it’s a time of year for locals to return to their hometowns to visit family, and thus opportunities for exploration are limited. However, domestic routines are evolving so foreign guests can travel with ease during the holiday and encounter unique cultural activities and flavors.

Tết’s culinary delights have origins that stretch back hundreds of years and can be enjoyed at Premier Village Phu Quoc’s special An Thoi Tet Market. Held on January 24, it offers diners an opportunity to savory holiday favorites elevated with the island’s famed seafood and traditional seasons. It is just one of many opportunities for guests to embrace the holiday at the luxury resort during the Lunar New Year.

Eager to savor the abundant leisure time surrounded by family, lavish meals have long since been at the center of Tết as people spend the entire year saving for and preparing unique dishes to share. While different regions have their own favorites and modern conveniences have expanded what’s available, a hearty feast remains an integral part of the holiday. Premier Village in Phú Quốc is more than living up to those expectations. The luxury resort is preparing a special Tết feast filled with traditional dishes such as bánh chưng, pork meat, pickled onions and fried spring rolls in addition to hotpot from January 24th through the 28th.

Along with more people taking family trips to new and indulgent locations, in recent years Tết has included a greater variety of cuisines in the holiday spreads. While once a bottle of imported cognac may have been the only foreign item on a table, now one can find all sorts of imported fruits, meats, vegetables and treats. Premier Village is helping lead this trend by serving international specialties à la carte alongside the Tết mainstays. Italian pasta, risotto and gelato are joined by some of Phú Quốc’s famed freshly caught crabs, lobster and mussels and imported beef and veal.

Besides the sumptuous foods, people look forward to Tết because it promises an opportunity to slow down and rest. Free from work and school, lounging around to catch up on sleep and hobbies are an important part of the week-long holiday. Premier Village makes these rejuvenation opportunities even more enticing via its serenity programs. Full-body, skin and facial treatments along with yoga and water sports help guests to pamper and re-invigorate their bodies. Meanwhile, craft decoration courses, nature weaving workshops, cookie making and bingo games energize visitors’ minds and moods while introducing them to cultural practices. The tranquility found at the nature-filled resort blessed with both sunrises and sunsets is an ideal place to pursue holistic wellness during the long holiday.

Many Tết traditions today can be traced back to practices formalized during the Nguyễn Dynasty at the beginning of the 19th Century. Homes, offices and cities were meticulously cleaned before being decorated in festive colors accompanied by flowering trees. Gifts in the form of lì xì envelopes with money and treats were exchanged between friends and family while bonuses were given to workers. Dressed in their finest new clothing, people would make visits to temples and other holy sites to make offerings to ancestors and request prosperity in the coming year. Marked as an official holiday for the entire realm, people would seize the opportunity to return to their hometowns to be reunited with loved ones. These traditions continue today.

Beyond the wide array of Tết dishes and activities that stretch back to the Nguyễn dynasty, Premier Villages is connected to the former kingdom in a more specific way. While battling against the rival Tây Sơn army, King Nguyễn Ánh, also known as Gia Long, sought safety on Phu Quoc’s Ông Đội Cape. Some say that he stabbed his sword into the ground while requesting salvation and the strength to lead. The spring that rose from the wound he placed in the earth, now referred to as The King’s Well is said to have flown ever since, nurturing the surrounding forest and village with physical, as well as spiritual energy.

Considering the Tết holiday’s connection with Nguyễn-era rituals and the emphasis placed on welcoming auspicious blessings for the coming year, it's a perfect time to stop by the King’s Well and even take part in one of Premier Village’s special spiritual journey workshops offered at the site. At midnight before the first day of the holiday, guests will gather at the water source to welcome the new year and pray for the awesome energy that has vivified the nation’s powerful kings. During the visit, observant guests may also notice the arrival of the King’s Well Pattern, an artistic undertaking that aims to depict the fresh stream flowing between heaven and earth connecting Gia Long’s legacy with the nourishing waters and tranquil atmosphere found throughout the resort.

International and domestic travelers in Vietnam both gravitate towards experiences that blend the traditional with the modern. Tết at Premier Villages exemplifies these opportunities with its serving of traditional holiday meals alongside foreign items and the chance to rest and re-energize amidst tranquil nature while experiencing the influence of the legacy of the Nguyễn dynasty.

Tết is a matter of who not where. We remember the people we celebrate with and not the physical location.

The peaceful setting makes the entire holiday feel a bit more relaxed while the luxurious rooms impart an elegance befitting the most important time of the year.

No Tết would feel complete without the opportunity to stuff oneself with traditional food. However, few look forward to long days spent in the kitchen preparing and cleaning up. One can certainly trust Mövenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc to handle the holiday meals given its extensive experience in the F&B industry. In 1948, long before it expanded as a luxury resort chain with properties across Europe, Africa and Asia, Mövenpick began as a restaurant in Switzerland. Starting on January 21 with a BBQ Buffet that features juicy tenderloin, meat, chicken and fresh seafood seasoned with local spices, the week is filled with international favorites and some seasonal specialties that will remind guests that home is a matter of what's on one’s plate.

During normal times of the year, Mövenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc is committed to providing “wow” moments to families via its wide range of sports and water activities, live shows and a dedicated children’s play area. During Tết they take it up a notch with games and activities for children of all ages as well as adults.

Tết is unquestionably a time for families, and anyone whose family includes young children knows that keeping little ones occupied can be the key to a harmonious holiday. Thus, Mövenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc has filled the days between January 21 and 27 with all sorts of activities including craft classes to paint, dance, cook and make everything from cards to candles to masks. On the 22nd, kids can paint pirate t-shirts and participate in a family treasure hunt or romp around in a water battle zone. The day ends with a traditional market erected on the resort grounds with traditional foods, music and dance performances, a lucky draw and game show.

Whether finding some quiet moments away from their kids or traveling as a couple, Tết also caters to adults looking to pamper themselves and unwind. Simply lounging outside beside Mövenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc’s immense infinity pool and soaking up the sun is a great way to relax, but those in search of a more immersive experience can visit the resort’s Elements Spa & Salon. Based on ancient medicinal treatments, the Vietnamese massage and cupping helps guests feel rejuvenated for the new year ahead. Meanwhile a red bean and milk body wrap or scrub allows guests to look and feel their best.

With so many days off, many people look to release pent-up energy during Tết and Mövenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc has those guests in mind as well. During the day they can take part in volleyball or beach yoga or try out Vietnamese calligraphy or macrame. Once the sun starts to set, however, the foam starts to form on the fifth day of Tết as lively DJs and lighting performances power the Glow Foam Party. People of all ages will feel young while dancing, drinking and celebrating the year of the cat.

People look forward to Tết all year long while recollecting fondly on the celebrations of years past. Mövenpick Resort Waverly Phu Quoc invites travelers to add a new location to their memories along with some novel activities and experiences. The surroundings may be unique, but the feelings of fun, rest and appreciation surrounded by friends and family will be the same.

Dim Sum, Tomahawk Ribeyes, Lobsters: Culinary Options Abounds at The Grand Ho Tram https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/25980-dim-sum,-tomahawk-ribeyes,-lobsters-culinary-options-abounds-at-the-grand-ho-tram https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/25980-dim-sum,-tomahawk-ribeyes,-lobsters-culinary-options-abounds-at-the-grand-ho-tram

People flock to The Grand Ho Tram for its myriad of entertainment options. To satiate the appetites of guests, the resort has spent a great deal of effort to ensure that its culinary options meet guests’ high expectations and rumbling stomachs.

The F&B heart and soul of every resort is its all-day dining experience. The Grand Ho Tram features two such options since the property boasts two towers, Holiday Inn Resort Ho Tram Beach and InterContinental Grand Ho Tram, home to the sleek and bright Lemongrass restaurant and the cozy Ginger eatery, respectively.

Guests can start their day at either venue with a diverse selection of Asian and western offerings. The staff expertly prepares everything from fresh bread to Vietnamese regional specialties all of which can either be enjoyed indoors or on the breezy patio. Lemongrass also offers an a la carte menu for lunch and dinner that appeals to a myriad of tastes with pastas and burgers flanked by local favorites like bún chả Hà Nội and canh chua cá bớp.

Given the resort’s proximity to the ocean, one of the most popular dining options is Khoi BBQ, highlighted by classic standbys like lobsters, crabs, oysters and Fisherman’s Catch - the best seafood brought in that day. These are joined by Vietnamese specialties, led by gỏi cá đục, a fish salad that can be found in both Hà Tĩnh and Bà Rịa. While it may be akin to an upscale hải sản joint, the price points are well on-par with the ingredients and dishes on offer. The setting of Khoi BBQ is also a focal point. Unlike the other dining outlets at The Grand Ho Tram, Khoi is nestled within the resort’s 8 swimming pools and some tables provide the perfect vantage point to take in the nightly water show.

For a high-end resort that doubles as an entertainment playground, a signature restaurant is vital and The Grand Bistro fills this role right in the center of the hotel. Just off the main concourse, the eatery’s rich woodgrain interior matches the gourmet menu punctuated by rich foie gras, delicate quail, tomahawk ribeyes and an extensive wine list. For those celebrating a special occasion or having dinner before one of the resort’s regular sporting events, The Grand Bistro is a great way to add a bit of fanfare for your visit.

Just across the hall sits the gem Ju Bao Xuan, which depending on one’s tastes, may be the culinary highlight of The Grand Ho Tram. Tables are set next to floor-to-ceiling windows that create a light-filled space where guests are served classic dim sum favorites like shrimp dumplings and xiaolongbao. But the zenith of the extensive menu are the Cantonese delicacies of roasted pigeon, honey-glazed BBQ pork and roasted pork belly. These are partially prepared tableside and are presented on a traditional wooden stand.

Not every meal needs to be an elaborate undertaking and the resort knows that sometimes guests are simply looking for a quick bite between activities. The Grand Food Court fills this need with a number of counters that serve dim sum, Vietnamese BBQ, phở, sizzling rice dishes, unique bánh mì, hand-tossed pizzas and their signature fried chicken. For those with a sweet tooth, one counter is dedicated to ice cream and other confectionary treats.

While decor and menus differ greatly across the different eateries at The Grand Ho Tram, there was one consistent theme throughout - service. The resort dedicates significant resources to ensure that staff is friendly and knowledgeable which is something that guests will notice throughout their stay. This, and the many dining options throughout the resort mean any type of traveler will look back on their stay and realize that their meals were not just a necessity but a highlight of their trip.

The Grand Ho Tram also offers a number of festive season promotions across the property, especially during Christmas and New Year. The special activities include cookie decorating, craft classes, joyous opportunities for children to meet Santa and celebrations at Fuel Sports Bar and Roxy Nightclub for adults. But perhaps the most exciting elements are found in the resort’s eateries. The Grand Bistro will offer a menu of festive season delights over four courses, while Lemongrass will serve up a sumptuous buffet highlighted by traditional roasted turkey, seafood and homemade sweets.

Vacations that Blend Leisure Time and Work at Crowne Plaza Phu Quoc Starbay https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/25981-vacations-that-blend-leisure-time-and-work-at-crowne-plaza-phu-quoc-starbay https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/25981-vacations-that-blend-leisure-time-and-work-at-crowne-plaza-phu-quoc-starbay

Traveler expectations are changing and some hotels and resorts are adapting faster than others to accommodate the new trends and preferences.

The global pandemic resulted in drastic shifts in how people seek to divide their business and leisure time. More likely to work outside of an office and remove the strict barriers that separate vacation and occupation hours on their calendars, they place an increased emphasis on finding employers that accommodate flexible schedules and digital communication. This means that today’s travelers are searching for new, blended vacation opportunities.

A recent survey commissioned by Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts supports Saigoneer’s observations. 35 percent of respondents want to combine work with leisure when traveling and a similar amount would add an average of two to three additional nights to a business trip to enjoy a location’s leisure offerings. Resorts such as the Crowne Plaza Phu Quoc Starbay are uniquely positioned to welcome such guests thanks to their convenient location and multi-faceted facilities that support not only work and play, but different vacation styles.

Standing Out on Phú Quốc Island

Phú Quốc’s growth over the past decade has been immense, with hotels, homestays, resorts and entertainment facilities springing up along with increased flights and tour packages in response to people’s desire to visit the tropical island. It’s never been easier to travel there nor harder to select where to stay when doing so. Pristine private beaches and serene nature, close proximity to sport and entertainment opportunities and world-class amenities and services: Crowne Plaza Phu Quoc Starbay distills the different selling points of other accommodations into one attentive location.

Despite its expansive coastline, Vietnam offers few opportunities to witness a dazzling sunset over the ocean. Given its geography, Phú Quốc’s western shore is one of the only region that offers a view of the sun as it slips beneath the waves surrounded by streaks of color seemingly straight off an oil painting. November through March happens to be the best time of the year to soak up the unique scene.

Crowne Plaza Phu Quoc Starbay takes full advantage of its front-row seats to the sunset via the spacious balconies with ocean views in each room and/or jungle views. Blessed with shade and positioned to appreciate the natural breeze of the sea, we found ourselves relaxing on the balcony more than on a typical resort stay during our visit earlier this year. Moreover, the spacious rooms with relaxed and inviting decor made it easy to kick back and chill with no desire to leave.

A Variety of Approaches to Leisure Time

For many travelers, a vacation is an opportunity to simply relax with friends and family. Crowne Plaza Phu Quoc Starbay is particularly suited for this. In addition to the balconies and cozy quarters, the beach, lap pool, lagoon pool and restaurants are all extremely close to the rooms. Compared to some other resorts, this property has an intimacy that allows it to feel familiar and comfortable while still offering world-class services.

Families in particular appreciate the resort’s convenient layout. The indoor and outdoor Tribe Kids Club and Games room’s full array of toys, board games, PlayStation games and activities is within steps, making it perfect for parents that want to help their children release some energy.

Crowne Plaza Phu Quoc Starbay has observed that families, whether Vietnamese or local ex-pats, who stay for three nights or more, will want to leave the resort at some point to check out the island’s National Park, safari, amusement park, SEA’s largest aquarium or international golf course, all of which are within a five-minute drive. After a few days resting in the resort, it's the perfect way to add a little excitement and adventure into a restful trip, especially for families with young children. Similarly, overseas guests who stay for at least a week to work also enjoy the break to explore Phú Quốc’s nature and attractions.

Similarly, the holiday season arrives with a few special opportunities to ensure guests of all ages leave with some unique memories. For over two weeks, the Amber Sands Beach Club and Horizon’s restaurant will serve special festive cocktails and Santa and his elves will be on hand to take photos. And in addition to a Mediterranian buffet dinner and sunset mixology class from December 22 through January 2 and a Christmas day beachfront BBQ, several different New Years' Eve meals and countdown parties allow groups to enjoy each other’s company while partaking in the festivities

Making Time for Work and Play

For those who can’t escape their inbox, Crowne Plaza Phu Quoc Starbay is set up to make balancing work with leisure time easy. A fully equipped resort center, resort-wide fast internet, and a bevy of quiet areas provide more productive surroundings than a typical crowded office one might be accustomed to.

And for those accustomed to working remotely, it really is incredible what a change of scenery can do for motivation. A number of ballrooms, boardrooms and meeting rooms accommodate conferences, retreats and company trips as well. Sitting around a table to get work done is a lot more appealing when one knows the calm ocean is just a few meters away, after all.

The type of blended travel that Crowne Plaza Phu Quoc Starbay is helping to pioneer makes sense on paper and is already resonating with guests. Travel insiders are taking notice as well, with the resort having recently won recognition from the Vietnam Golf & Leisure Awards 2022, and The World Luxury Awards 2022. Whether one is looking to enjoy the type of vacations they are used to or finding a venue to meet their evolving needs, Crowne Plaza Phu Quoc Starbay is worth considering this holiday season.

Aims to Harmonize Nature and Luxurious Modernity at Eden Bay Villas https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/25894-aims-to-harmonize-nature-and-luxurious-modernity-at-eden-bay-villas https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/25894-aims-to-harmonize-nature-and-luxurious-modernity-at-eden-bay-villas

Untrammeled natured teeming with lush flowers, colorful fruits and calm waters laid out beneath triumphant horizons for people to enjoy: the word Eden conjures images of joyous humans living harmoniously with the environment.

It's a fitting term for Eden Bay Villas, the luxury accommodations at Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort on the southern tip of Phú Quốc island.

Travelers have been conditioned to view vacations as matters of unavoidable choices: ocean or mountains; convenience or isolation; modern aesthetics or wild nature. But the Eden Bay Villas aims to change that binary understanding and let guests have it all by seamlessly blending ancient forests and upscale elegance situated on a mountain's slopes with sweeping views of the ocean. The private, intimate villas provide the perfect location to celebrate special events including anniversaries and weddings as well as make once-in-a-lifetime memories with friends and familiy surrounded by nature and indulging in luxury.

To reach the Eden Bay Villas, one must first travel via private airport transportation beneath a cool canopy of trees in a verdant forest surrounded by the soft chirps and trilling calls of birds and insects. The presence of careful development announces itself in the manicured gardens that guests pass through before reaching the wooden gates that serve as a literal link between the natural and human worlds as well as the entrance to each villa.

Once one has time to adjust to the splendors of the view, the more subtle touches in the villas become apparent. The wooden beams that stretch across the high ceilings release soft, rich aromas in tune with the forest outside while the plush furniture and expansive beds juxtapose the uncompromising cliffs and jagged coasts thrust into the shimmering waters. Each Eden villa feels like a serene oasis thanks to its fully-equipped, expansive living room, deluxe conveniences and dining room that accommodate ten guests. The confluence of luxury and nature is especially apparent when one steps onto the ocean-facing glass balcony, takes a dip in the private infinity pool, or reclines on the sun lounge.

After comfortably adjusting to the space, the full potential of the Eden Bay Villas unfurls. Young travelers will be quick to take jealousy-inducing social media photos with the chic aesthetic complimenting the awesome spread of natural color that surrounds the private pools and gardens. Couples will find that the serene privacy draws them closer together as the attention-demanding commotion of wherever they’ve arrived from truly seems like a world away. A sky filled with stars is a particularly perfect backdrop for an anniversary or wedding. And for groups celebrating meaningful occasions, the quiet air punctuated by nothing but ocean waves will cast a calm across busy minds so that they can consider the important things in the world and their place amongst them.

And in the same way that the villas’ sleek architecture brings into focus the scope and power of the sea and mountains, the modern comforts found in the open space between their walls make it easy to appreciate the views of intrinsically untidy and messy nature. This blending of meticulously controlled experiences and wilderness extends throughout the resort. For example, guests check-in and receive prioritized services and all-day refreshments in the Eden lounge.

While the Eden Bay Villas prioritize a harmonious balance between built and natural settings, guests will discover additional concepts of balance. For example, the resort’s restaurant relies on Feng Shui to achieve an equilibrium in flavors. If one orders the lemongrass chicken, they will detect metaphorical wood in the sour side dish, fire in bitter in the lemongrass, earth in the sweet chicken meat, metal in the spicy seasoning and water in the sauce. Thus, the complimentary breakfast buffet is not just a chance to receive sustenance but a means to discover culinary equipoise.

The Eden Bay Villas interprets the adage you can’t have it all as a challenge. Can it provide guests with views of mountains and the ocean? Can it foster the primal thrills of wilderness along with modern comforts? Can it attend to families and couples, the young and the mature? Only a visit will answer those questions.

Coral, Kingfishers and Dragonflies: Wildlife Travel at Zannier Hotels Bãi San Hô https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/25940-coral,-kingfishers-and-dragonflies-wildlife-travel-at-zannier-hotels-bãi-san-hô https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/25940-coral,-kingfishers-and-dragonflies-wildlife-travel-at-zannier-hotels-bãi-san-hô

A surfacing whale spouts water into the sky, the spray scattering like confetti thrown in a parade held to honor the splendors of the natural world.

One doesn’t associate such an inspiring scene with Vietnam, but it does in fact happen here. Just this year, for example, on numerous occasions, a pod of whales emerged to scoop up schools of fish beside a tourist boat off the coast of Phú Yên province.

While a whale sighting may be rare in Vietnam, incredible encounters with the natural world are daily occurrences when one ventures beyond urban landscapes. For example, white-throated kingfishers, a powerful muse for ancient poets who described it as having been born from rainbows, can be observed flittering from shrub to grass in Vietnamese forests and fields. Meanwhile, blossom-headed parakeets seem to fill the sky with falling petals while flocks of chattering Asian green bee-eaters put landscapes filled with car horns and construction noise to shame. These birds are in addition to the many frogs, lizards, snakes and insects that city dwellers too often forget live amongst us.

Thankfully, there are a few locales where travelers eager to embrace the nation’s rich biodiversity can head. Zannier Hotels Bãi San Hô, for example, is situated on a 98-hectare plot of land that is 97% covered with vegetation and designed in such a way as to respect and protect native flora and fauna while fostering interactions with the “animal neighbors.” Since opening its doors in 2020, the resort has allowed visitors to not only enjoy luxurious accommodations influenced by the unique culture of Central Vietnam but also marvel at the natural world.

Knowing nature exists around oneself is different than being able to experience it up close and personally. One can watch dragonflies whiz atop fields of blooming flowers or hear the nighttime calls of roosting owls without straying far from their rooms, but the resort enables more immersive experiences as well. A variety of tailored excursions led by knowledgeable in-house tour guides bring guests via bicycle motorbike or car and on foot to a vast array of nearby ecosystems such as the Vân Hòa Plateau or Xuân Đài Bay.

True to its name, which translates to “bay of corals,” Zannier Hotels Bãi San Hô offers tremendous opportunities to explore the ocean’s varied ecosystems. Snorkeling in the clear waters just beyond majestic prehistoric cliffs introduces travelers to a angel, butterfly and clown fish as well as colorful coral, starfish and cuttlefish. And those that prefer not to swim can still take in the unique coast consisting of uniformly interlocking basalt rock columns formed by volcanic eruptions via kayak, catamaran and standup paddle board. And of course, the resort's one-kilometer-long private white sand beach is perfect for lazy afternoon sunbathing amidst the occasional duck call or the shadow of a passing stork.

While perhaps not as eye-catching as animals, plants are no less interesting or important. Phú Yên is famous for having been used as the shooting location for the idyllic “I See Yellow Flowers on the Green Grass.” Native flowering shrubs, trees heavy with ripe fruits, verdant bushes, vines, ferns and grasses that shiver when a soft breeze spreads across open plains can all be observed at the resort. Space remains to pay homage to humanity’s relationship with agriculture as well. Zannier Hotels Bãi San Hô’s picturesque rice paddies invite guests to learn about the process of planting and harvesting according to traditional methods.

Admiring nature demands respecting it and guests seek assurances that their presence causes as limited an impact as possible. Zannier Hotels Bãi San Hô thus took painstaking efforts during construction to ensure as minimal changes to the ecosystem. 90% of the resort’s current landscape was already growing prior to their arrival and the 10% of added flora is all native to the region. A nursery was established to care for any plants that needed to be temporarily moved and the team was careful when establishing pathways so animals could continue their normal lives and routines unharmed. The resort plans to partner with local experts to not only help protect the coral reefs but expand educational programs for guests.

It’s easy to think about nature as an abstract, but true transcendence comes from entering it. Hearing a chorus of croaking frogs beneath a star-filled sky; watching a bird return to its nest with food for the hungry beaks grasping beside shut eyes; savoring a fresh berry that was just plucked from a wild vine: such experiences may not be part of your daily routine, which makes them all the more profound. A trip to Zannier Hotels Bãi San Hô thus serves as a welcome reminder of the joys of nature.

The Promise of Khem Beach Realized at Premier Residences Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/25862-the-promise-of-khem-beach-realized-at-premier-residences-phu-quoc https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/25862-the-promise-of-khem-beach-realized-at-premier-residences-phu-quoc

Vietnam is blessed with a long coastline that offers a plentitude of beaches, but as the nation's tourism industry rapidly develops, travelers are increasingly discerning about beaches. Phú Quốc's Khem Beach satisfies those looking for a secluded and natural stretch of sand and sea.

Located about 25km south of Dương Đông Township, this "secret" beach was only revealed to the public in 2009, after the military relinquished its holdings in the area. Thus, on an island known for its outstanding beaches, Khem Beach has managed to stand out, even representing Vietnam on the top 50 list of the most beautiful beaches in the world voted by Flight Network in Canada in 2018.

Saigoneer has been to Phú Quốc many times — with family, close friends and even on solo backpacking trips. At one point, it felt as though there was nothing new to experience, but we realized our ignorance when we first set foot on Khem Beach in the south of the island. The area is in close proximity to the quartet of famous islands, namely Móng Tay, Hòn Mây Rút, Hòn Thơm and Hòn Buồm. It is also a convergence of historical sites, the most notable of which is Phú Quốc Prison, which gives visitors not only the opportunity to snorkel around inspiring coral reefs, or unwind on fine white sand but also to learn about the human history of the storied island.

Separated from the central town's raucous chaos, Khem Beach blesses visitors with its natural marvels: the sound of waves lapping as soft as breaths of wind and luxuriant coconut trees lining silky white sand beneath bird song. The calming character of the area sets one's mind at peace. There you can just "be."

Hiding in a small bay, Khem Beach stretches between two gentle hills and offers an infinite view of the ocean; a perfect spot to admire the pink dawn sun reflecting on the glimmering water. You can recline and wait to witness schools of small fish breaking above the water's surface or stroll along the rocks dotting the beach to find a shallow water ecosystem populated with sea urchins, oysters and fearless fish. Such mini adventures are a nice preamble to a relaxing breakfast.

Khem Beach still retains a semblance of wilderness even though it was opened during a phase of rapid development on the island as hotels and resorts attempt to balance economic pursuits with preservation. Amongst the 5-star hotels with international standards recently built on the beach, Premier Residences Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort stands out for its careful simplicity.

With 745 luxurious rooms and suites overlooking the endless jade ocean, Premier Residences Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort is a favorite of families, groups of friends and even adventurous solo travelers. Each room and suite is meticulously designed so as not to intrude on the unspoiled natural atmosphere at Khem Beach. Its close proximity to the island's cable car and a wide range of water sports from beach volleyball to kayaking and coral diving ensure that there is always something to do.

Located between the infinity pool and the beach stands the Clubhouse restaurant which gives you the chance to “eat with purpose,” by focusing on healthy meals. The menu features information about the items such as their caloric values and nutrition information. In addition to traditional Vietnamese and Western dishes, Clubhouse restaurant treats diners to hot rock cooking and slow-cooked meat and you can indulge in fresh seabass and prawns served with rice wine after an aperitif, for example.

If you visit Premier Residences Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort on the weekend, don't miss the Sunset Market which includes street foods prepared by skilled in-house chefs on the lawn of the Clubhouse restaurant. The fair also has entertainment activities for families or groups of friends.

Vietnam is spoiled with vacation destinations, from cozy highland nooks to cities thrumming with activity to relaxed coastlines soaked in sun. But selecting a location is only half the task of ensuring an ideal vacation. Within one geography there are numerous accommodation options that can differ greatly. At Premier Residences Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort, you can savor a quiet beach, relax in understated luxury and treat your mind and body well.

SONIC Minifest Provides a Tropical Remix to Your Winter Holiday https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/25930-sonic-minifest-provides-a-tropical-remix-to-your-winter-holiday https://saigoneer.com/sponsored-listings/243-resorts/25930-sonic-minifest-provides-a-tropical-remix-to-your-winter-holiday

As young people take familiar art forms in bold and surprising new directions, timeless Vietnamese songs are given new lives in unexpected contexts in 2022.

The cool weather that compels people to slip on another layer of clothing at night carries opportunities to jam out to a string of year-end festivals. SONIC minifest, for example, going down November 26th at Premier Residences Phu Quoc, promises to deliver unique energy that builds futuristic sounds with instruments from the past.

The lineup for SONIC minifest consists of artists who have made a name for themselves in local underground scenes. Accustomed to cramped clubs, dark corners and secretive spaces, Khem Beach will give their sounds room to roam. Crowds will have opportunities to enjoy the rhythms as they soar out to the open ocean beneath a setting sun. And tapping one’s toes in tune with the rhythms is always best done in sand.

Regardless of one’s musical preferences, DJ sets laced with traditional instruments are worth checking out for their sheer novelty. Flute and đàn tranh will join modern electronic, dance pop and hip-hop beats for a sonic experience far richer than the sum of its parts. Each artist that graces the stage will piece together their own definition of liberation with elements of the past and dreams of the future.

Musical duo Limebócx is the perfect example of the seemingly abstract style. Equally electric and avante-garde, they’ve released several songs with lyrics drawn from the classical poems of Nguyễn Khuyến. Within a single song, they switch effortlessly from đàn tranh to guitar to bass and back again, creating upbeat interpretations that will shock and thrill listeners who know the poems by heart as well as those who have never heard them.

Other musicians featured will lean heavily into the power of improvisation, feeding off the energy of the crowd gathered on the beach to determine the direction of their performances. Playing with the subtle sound of waves in the background to an audience that is seeking a vacation of the mind and spirit as well as body will coax their creativity to resonate in surprising ways, ensuring the event will be a one-of-a-kind occasion, rain or shine.

SONIC isn’t content to cater to just one sense, however, so in addition to the music performances, the well-known visual art collective ALT Spray will be on hand to perform via color spread across walls. By the end of the event, the resort will be covered in a temporary display of dynamic street art. The paradise-like setting is about as different from the shadow-shrouded landscape of alleyways and overpasses one typically associates with urban artwork.

The festivities will kick off at the Clubhouse restaurant with a DJ set at the Sunset Market. The resort’s spacious swimming pool will transform into a foam pool to get people in buoyant moods before the on-site graffiti performance begins. And from 4 to 6 pm, as the energy begins to build, attendees can join in a Waiter Race Game or chill with a full plate from the barbeque buffet before Limebócx hits the stage.

SONIC minifest is also the perfect excuse to explore the resort. In addition to 745 luxurious rooms and suites overlooking the seemingly endless jade ocean, the resort also offers “eating-with-purpose” meals at the Clubhouse restaurant and body and mind-balancing treatments at the Emerald Spa. These amenities will elevate a trip to SONIC minifest into a full-on sensory extravaganza.

A true escape from the city means more than just moving to a new physical space. SONIC minifest represents just one way to experience new surroundings. Premier Residences Phu Quoc also has Christmas movies and meals that cater to families with young children as well as opportunities to make postcards and decorate gingerbread houses. A holiday spent on the beach is the perfect way to re-mix tradition and new adventures, like slipping đàn bầu strings into an electronic DJ set.
