Last week, the oldest and largest flower village in the Mekong Delta, Tân Quy Đông, was in full bloom.
Ten minutes from the Cao Lãnh ferry on a small dirt road, Tân Quy Đông quietly appears on the banks of the Tiền River.
Stretching over 200 hectares, the village is home to over 1,500 farming families that grow their floral crops for Saigon’s bustling urban markets ahead of Tết.
This time each year, Tân Quy Đông’s beauty is at its zenith, characterized by the vibrant hues of its seemingly never-ending fields of blossoming flowers.
