John Morales [BBE - NYC] (Round 2) @ The Observatory

From the organizer: IT'S happening, again: after December's blowout gig alongside Alton Miller, JOHN MORALES was so excited by our crowd that he wanted a return as soon as possible. He's got that, and our city has another chance to witness a legend of nightclub culture work his magic.

John Morales was a key actor in what can be considered one of the world's first 'club cultures', spinning records in the likes of New York clubs such as the Stardust Ballroom and Studio 54 in the late 70s and early 80s. Something of a 'King of Remixes', he gained his experience in the studio by editing the soul and funk tracks that were available at the time into club-adapted, rolling rhythms that his keen understanding of a crowd told him would work best. He knows how to make people move, big time.

When he played at The Observatory in December, he kept going until around 8am, only taking a short break sometime around sunrise to have a dance with one of the dance floors more committed dancers. He knows how to bring a party, and he knows how to get you to automatically pour all of your energy into it too.

Join us for another unforgettable night of dancing disco deviance.
