3 British Tourists Die Zip Lining at Da Lat Waterfall

Three British tourists have been confirmed dead after falling from a waterfall in Da Lat Friday afternoon.

According to provincial officials, the unnamed victims were one man and two women who were playing an unsanctioned adventure game at the time of the incident, reports Tuoi Tre.

The group was using a zip line to cross the Datanla waterfall without proper equipment, said Vo Anh Tan, deputy director of Dalat Tourist, which manages the area.

“Dam Me Co. did not buy tickets for using the zip line, so the tourists were not provided with the proper equipment for the adventure game by Dalat Tourist,” Tan told Tuoi Tre.

“Some companies, like Dam Me, have dodged the admission fees and let their guests play the game, which might have led to today’s accident,” he continued.

The tourist’s bodies have since been recovered and local police have questioned their tour guide as part of their investigation, according to the AP.
