A collection of drone photos submitted for a recent competition highlights Vietnam's stunning beauty from above.

Tuoi Tre reports that the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association and the Phuong Nam Calendar Company worked together to hold the "Vietnam From Above" competition, which allowed photographers to submit their best drone work for a future calendar.

The campaign received almost 3,400 submissions from 358 photographers, and the 100 best images were shortlisted, after which 16 prize winners were chosen by a panel of judges.

Nguyen Vinh Hien, who documents the Mekong Delta with his VND150 million (US$6,600) drone, won 1st place for his stunning shot of Ca Mau Cape, Vietnam's southernmost point.
